Why a Kinetic Rope?
So, the big question .. is a kinetic rope really worth having? Yes, absolutely, everyone should have a kinetic recovery rope in their kit.
In comparison to your traditional snatch strap, kinetic ropes allow for over 50% more stretch, creating a greater sling shot affect. This increased stretching capability minimises the uncomfortable "jolt" feeling for passengers and is far softer on both vehicles, allowing for a smooth and controlled recovery.
Another awesome feature of these ropes is that they allow for some slack before the recovery vehicle starts taking off. This allows for a higher build up in momentum, leading to an increased pulling force. This is fantastic for unstable and loose terrain! After using one of these guys .. you won't go back.

Soft shackles have become a great alternative to the traditional rated steel shackles in vehicle recoveries. These lightweight, waterproof and incredibly strong pieces of equipment, certainly don't have anywhere near the destructive path of your conventional bow shackles. Designed to endure incredible forces much like your stainless steel equivalents, these soft shackles will provide you with a far safer solution that is just as easy, if not easier to use in any situation.
Essentially, if any part of your steel shackle fails whilst performing a recovery, the under-tension rope will shoot through the air with an unforgiving lump of steel attached to it. This could prove as a potentially lethal piece if equipment. So instead of risking such a situation, we definitely recommend having a pair of these of hand!
