Installation :
Installation is a breeze with the simple adjustable flat pack brackets included with the awning.
STEP 1 : Assemble the flat pack brackets to the desired height, using 6 x 20mm M8 Bolts, and 6 x Nylock Nuts per bracket.
STEP 2 : Fix each bracket to your roof rack or bars using either of the supplied mounting methods (Square Bolts for roof rack channels or metal plates and long bolts for clamping method). Secure each bracket with at least 2 fixing points.
STEP 3 : Slide through a min. of 4 T-shaped Bolts in the awning mounting channels for each bracket (recommend 2 x top, 2 x bottom for each). Match the bolts up with the slots in the bracket at the desired height, and secure with the supplied washers and nylock nuts.
NOTES : MIN. 1200mm Spacing for the awning brackets. - the closer the bracket is to the hinges, the better the support.
Maintenance :
SETTING UP AND PACKING AWAY :
- When unzipping your awning - make sure your zippers are all the way to the end to avoid getting stuck when pulling the awning out.
- Always ensure you tension the awning our evenly at both tensioning points. This will keep the canvas tension even at both ends.
- Always remember to fold down the rain run off poles when packing the awning up.
- Check that the canvas isn't caught on the hinge when setting or packing away.
CLEANING :
- Use warm water and a sponge or soft brush to clean off marks canvas.
- Standard car wash cleaning solution is useable on the transit bag.
- Do not expose the canvas to harsh chemicals as you will risk damage.
- Always air out after use in damp conditions.
MAINTENANCE & CHECKS :
- Always check your mounting brackets and hardware for bolts that may require re-tightening.
- Inspect hinges for any loose components that may need re-tightening
- Check canvas for any wear marks caused by incorrect pack up.
- Always air out your awning out after exposure to damp conditions. (e.g open it up to dry when you get home from a trip).
